Construction and Engineering

Sport Court® Northern California is a Class A Licensed General Engineering Contractor.  We use best practices when constructing every court.  There are options as far as construction specifications, when building your court. Our trained team members will review all options with you and figure out what will work best for your budget and desires. 

A concrete sports foundation is typical for any backyard game court or backyard basketball court project. This provides the longest-lasting and stable foundation for your court.  Asphalt is never recommended as it will oxidize, become brittle, and begin to crack which results in an endless nightmare. 

SportBase™

If concrete is not an option, Sport Court® is the only company in the industry that has a solution to replace concrete without giving up performance.  SportBase™ is a 2" thick and 18" x 18" sub-panel interlocking system that fits together like a puzzle.  This system sits on top of base rock and finer crushed aggregate, with holes punched through it to allow water to percolate all the way through.  Some cities have strict regulations when it comes to concrete and hardscape (or impervious coverage). SportBase™ is an easily, cost-effective solution that does not add to your overall hardscape coverage on your property.
